Variable Resistor Equivalent Circuit

I have a circuit which controls the volume on a speaker by a wheel which is attached to a variable resistor i want to reproduce this but instead of using a manually operated variable resistor i want to use something else instead ideally something where you can apply a voltage to change the resistance from low to high. The problem is not to have one or two variable resistors because you always take a look at one moment and treat them as fixed during your analysis.

This allows you to calculate the voltage and current at a specific terminal by simplifying the rest of the circuit with thevenins equivalent.

Variable resistor equivalent circuit. The analog output voltage v a can be easily determined by the use of millmans theorem. Assume that the digital input signal 001 is applied to this variable resistor network. Practically it happens more often consider your home outlet where you plug in fan iron and phone charger according to your requirements.

When a circuit has some variable resistor it becomes frustrating to calculate over and over. Using the levels as before 0 0 v and 1 7 v. Thevenins theorem also provides an efficient way to focus your analysis on a specific portion of a circuit.

A variable resistor is the type of resistor which changes the flow of current in a controlled manner by offering a wide range of resistances. In circuit analysis when a single resistor changes the whole circuit parameters voltage and current changes. What is a variable resistor.

The equivalent circuit is shown in fig. Is considered very large and hence neglected. I guess your problem is to see that the variable resistor potentiometer actually consists of two resistors r2 and r r2.

As the resistance increases in the variable resistor the current through the circuit decreases and vice versa. Check out the example circuit below. Here we have resistor r2 as our load.
